Flying Monkeys The Chocolate Manifesto

Flying Monkeys are getting well known for their very individual beers and as you can see, The Chocolate Manifesto is no exception. I just had to show you the box as well because of the amount of work they've put into it - and that's just half (a quarter, surely, I hear you ask, but the two designs are printed twice on opposing sides). Now, the beer... Well, you'd have to go a long way to compete with that amazing Samuel Smiths chocolate pop (as I called it) and you'd have to start by making a beer which tastes of *chocolate* rather than *cocoa*. Yes my friends, this strong, 10% brew is cocoa up the wazoo, *not* chocolate. Arguably some might question whether that's a noteworthy difference, but to me it was huge. I found it very easy to get into but, after a few swallows I was starting to want to finish it off quickly so that I could move onto the next (actual) beer. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't go back for more. A laudable effort by the brewery which sadly fails to deliver, but worth a try. Not Recommended.
