Tusker Lager
This guy, cute elephant 'n' all, is probably the second best lager I've ever tasted (the best being Bowen Island's delicious Westcoast Lager). Why? Because I CAN TASTE IT. This is unlike most lagers—especially in North America—which seem largely designed just to give you a buzz during periods of warm weather or get you wrecked at some dubious party. This has a really good malt flavour without remotely approaching ale territory and, honestly, I *could* see myself drinking this regularly. Flavour-wise it walks all over the standard mass-market cockroach urine from poison peddlers such as M**son, C**rs, Mi**er etc., whose beers aren't even true beers, being brewed with up to 80% rice syrup and/or corn. This delicious 4.2% lager comes all the way from Ruaraka near Nairobi in Kenya, and is highly recommended.
Incidentally, I understand that they also make a 'Tusker Malt Lager' which holds the promise of even more flavour. I have to try it!!
